The top ten countries in the world are: China (66.151 million tons, up 2.2%), Japan (87.02 million tons, up 1%), India (83.5 million tons, 4.2%) and the United States (6.790 million tons, up 8.5% ), Russia (6,025,000 tons, up 1.4%), South Korea (5,650,000 tons, down 0.9%), Germany (3,485,000 tons, up 4.5%), Turkey (3,115,000 tons, up 7%), Brazil Tonne, up 15.3%) and Italy (2.184 million tons, up 3.3%).

In November 2017, the total steel production in 66 countries was 136 million tons, an increase of 3.7% over the same period of last year.

In the first 11 months of 2017, the top 10 steel producing countries were: China (760 million tons, up 5.7%), Japan (95.941 million tons, down 0.1%), India (92.473 million tons, up 6.2%), (74.949 million tons, up 4.1%), Russia (66.445 million tons, up 2.9%), South Korea (64.478 million tons up 2.8%), Germany (39.966 million tons up 2.9%), Turkey 12.7%), Brazil (31,542,000 tons, 9.1%) and Italy (22,259,000 tons, an increase of 3,1%).
